A task from any message, with a reminder for whoever owns it

Turn a customer’s request in the chat into a task with a due date, an owner and a reminder, and follow it with your team in a list, a board and a monthly calendar.

In your account nowIn every workspace, from the sidebar → Tasks.

Inside live chat

The task starts from the customer’s message

Agents don’t keep the request in their head or on a side note. They create the task from the message itself, and it stays linked to the customer until it is done.

  • “Create task” is in every message’s menu, and the task keeps the original message.
  • A Tasks section in the customer sidebar shows their open and overdue tasks.
  • Change a task’s status or mark it done without leaving the conversation.
  • The task also shows on the Tasks page in the dashboard for the rest of the team.

Three views of one team’s work

A list to search, a board to follow progress and a calendar to see the days ahead, all on the same tasks.

List view

Every task in a table with its due date, priority, assignee and what it is linked to, with search by title or details.

Up to 300 tasks in the list

A three-column board

To do, In progress and Done. Drag a task from one column to the next as the work moves.

Up to 100 tasks per column; Done shows the last 14 days

A monthly calendar

Each task sits on its due date, so you see the busy days before you reach them.

Click a day to add a task due that day

Four priorities

Decide what comes first, and filter by priority when the list gets crowded.

Low · Normal · High · Urgent

Linked to the customer and the deal

Link a task to a contact, a deal or both. A task created from a message keeps the original message.

Shows in the customer profile and the deal drawer

Comments and history

Discuss the task in its comments, and check its history to see who changed what and when.

Comments and an event history on every task

The “Tasks” badge in the sidebar counts your own tasks due today or overdue, so you know what is waiting without opening the page.

Due date and reminder

The reminder reaches the person doing the task

Set the due date with one shortcut and choose when the reminder arrives. Times use your workspace time zone, so the whole team sees the same time.

Due-date shortcuts

  • In 1 hour

  • Tomorrow
  • Next Monday 9:00

  • At the due time
  • 15 minutes before
  • 1 hour before
  • 1 day before

A reminder is a push notification to the task’s assignee only, on the LetsBot app and desktop. Tasks never send the customer a WhatsApp message, so Meta bills nothing for them. An unassigned task gets no reminder.

Recurring tasks

Write a routine task once

For the work that comes back every day, week or month. Pick the interval, and the next task is created when the current one is done.

Daily

every N days

For example, reviewing pending orders every morning.

Weekly

every N weeks

For example, following up customers who have not replied.

Monthly

every N months

For example, a renewal check or a stock count.

Repeat until

optional end date

The series stops on the date you set, or keeps going.

The next task is created when you mark the current one done, not before, so undone copies never pile up. A repeating task needs a due date for the first one.

From a customer’s request to a finished task

  1. Open Tasks

Add a task from a single line, or open “New task” to set its due date, priority and assignee.

    Dashboard → Tasks

  2. Or create it from the message

When a customer asks for something that needs a follow-up, create the task from that message so it stays linked to them.

Live chat → message menu → Create task

  3. Set the due date and reminder

Pick a due-date shortcut, then the reminder, and assign it to the agent who will do it.

    Task → Due → Reminder

  4. Follow it to done

Move it on the board or check it on the calendar, then mark it done from the board or from the chat.

    Tasks → Board / Calendar

Tasks are open to every agent in the workspace. Each agent sees their own under “My tasks”, and the whole team’s under “All tasks”.

When does each shortcut land?

Every time is in your workspace time zone, and you can always pick an exact date and time.

Shortcut Due date it sets
In 1 hourOne hour from now
TodayEnd of the current day
TomorrowThe next day
Next Monday 9:00The start of next week

Following sales opportunities too? Link the task to a deal and it shows in the deal’s drawer on the Deals board. Deals & pipeline

Frequently asked questions

Are tasks available in my account now?
Yes. “Tasks” appears in the dashboard sidebar of every workspace, and every agent can open it. Its badge shows how many of your own tasks are due today or overdue.
How do I create a task from a customer’s message?
Open the message menu in live chat and choose “Create task”. The task is linked to the contact and to that message, and it shows in the customer’s sidebar and on the Tasks page.
Who gets the reminder?
Only the task’s assignee, as a push notification on the LetsBot app and desktop: at the due time, 15 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day before, or at a time you pick. An unassigned task gets no reminder.
Does the customer ever get a reminder?
No. Tasks are an internal tool for your team. They never send the customer a WhatsApp message, an email or an SMS, so they add no Meta message charges.
How do recurring tasks work?
Set the task to repeat daily, weekly or monthly, every so many days, weeks or months, with an optional end date. When you mark it done, the next one is created. A repeating task needs a due date for the first one.
Which time zone are due dates in?
Your workspace time zone, so every agent sees the same due time wherever they are. The shortcuts are: In 1 hour, Today, Tomorrow and Next Monday 9:00.
Can a task be linked to a deal?
Yes. Link a task to a customer, a deal or both, and it shows in the customer’s chat sidebar and in the deal’s drawer on the Deals board.
Can I manage tasks from Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. The LetsBot MCP server includes 4 task tools: list tasks, create a task, update it and mark it done.
